Performances

Recital

Our students perform in a yearly recital held in June. Our recitals are theatrical experiences for the students. The recitals not only allow the students to demonstrate the many new things they have learned in class, but the students also have an opportunity to act and sing in a musical production. Past recitals have produced versions of Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz, Aladdin and the Genie, Cinderella, Annie and Alice in Wonderland.

Tree Lighting

In the beginning of December ZDC and D&M Borstad Co. host a tree lighting event at the dance center. On an outdoor stage, built for the event, several dance classes from the studio along with vocalists from the area perform for the public to engage them in the holiday spirit. A tree is lit in all its holiday colors. Indoors, there is a winter wonderland walk through display with a special visit for all from that jolly man in the red suit.

Informal

The Informal is where our Z Dance Troupe members will perform for the first time. The Informal is usually held between January/February to kick off our competition season.

Parade

ZDC has participated in the Memorial Day Parade for the past 16 years with over 100 students marching. The students dance down the streets from the Dairy Queen to the Flats.
